Children’s short poem

I’ve been wanting for a long time to start writing here also in English, but never did till now. Why now? Because I got a request from a friend to help her with a children’s poem, with rhymes, not to mention, and on a fixed topic, such a boy and a dinosaur! So, after a few short sketches, this is what I came up with:

Milo and DinoΒ

Milo and his friend, Dino
Are going on a trip,
On a big ship
To find a sheep.
Which sheep? you may wonder
Sheila, the sheep!
She’s lost at sea
And Milo and Dino
Want to rescue her!
But Dino, he’s afraid of water,
What to do, what to do??
Have you ever seen
A dinosaur that can swim??
Well, Dino learned to swim
And he and Milo saved Sheila, the sheep!

Please keep in mind that this is my first children’s poem ever!! I haven’t written kids poems not even in Romanian, not to mention in English! πŸ™‚ But I kind of like the idea of this poetry and playing with the words that rhyme with the same sound but different word.

Hope you’ll enjoy it!
